Five years running and it's proven to be a very reliable power train. Since its introduction, Ford has improved the turbo and bearings, the high pressure fuel pump, and many other systems. The 6.7L will go down as one of the best consumer diesel power plants made.

It has many advantages over the 7.3 (power and refinement) but is strapped with emissions equipment the 7.3 is not. That emissions equipment will at the very least make the 6.7 have a higher cost of ownership over time than the 7.3, if not a shorter life overall. But it is a great engine.

There is a 6.7 Diesel F-250 Lariat CC short bed on the lot at Cover Ford in Austin, Texas. I looked at this truck this morning while waiting on some routine service work on my 2011. The sales rep told me it arrived on Friday afternoon. Here is the Window Sticker for the truck: http://www.inventory.ford.com/servic...7W2BTXHEB28356

Had a question, but didn't want to post it on Troverman's new page to keep it in line. I notice a lot of the posts have order date's and build dates already...WAY past when I ordered mine...which was 4/20. My salesman STILL says I have no VIN or date...but my dad's truck...ordered the same day/same computer right before mine...has a VIN but nothing else. We did order as Retail...Priority 10. SO..just a question....are MOST of the orders on Troverman new post with the details Stock orders or are some Retail also?? I am truckless currently due to an accident...and I can wait a bit longer...but I wanted to see if there was at least some order to this madness....LOL. Stock before Retail like it was preached to us for the last 3 months. Just curious.

LOL...no...last time I had a plate of brownies was in '83 at the Judas Priest/Saxon/Krokus concert....I'm starting to think it was my salesman that left after lunch and never came back !!!

I looked at new trucks at that very dealership a couple years back when I was in Austin for an extended stay. Small world. On another note, the diesel option is more expensive for 2017 as is the Lariat Ultimate package. The diesel went from $8,460 to $8,595 and the Lariat Ultimate went from around $2900 to over $3,000.
