restoring dad's first truck, need 51 F2 fender and hood

Hi All, I am trying to help my dad restore his first truck, a 1951 F2. We need the drivers side front fender, but the F2 seems to be different from the F1, and really hard to find.

I am also not sure of the F2 hood is the same or different than the F1, any insight on that?

Located in Massachusetts, but willing to drive or pay shipping for the right parts!

Thanks
-Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike. Someone will be along soon with the parts you need. Have you looked in the parts for sale section?
Tell us more about the truck. Beings it is your dad's first truck, it must have an interesting story or two or a couple dozen. Pictures would help.
Again, welcome.
Edit: Hoods will be the same.

I believe the fenders are the same for 51 and 52, F2 through F6. Welcome and good luck with your build.

Add my welcome. The hoods are certainly interchangeable, and externally look the same, but if you can find a true '51 you will want to. The first pic is the '51 having three vent holes while the '52 in the second pic has two. I assume the nose pieces are interchangeable and bolt on the same.

As said, the '51 and '52 F-2 through F-6 fenders are the same. Stu

Mike, I was at the Early Ford Swap Meet in Fitchburg, Mass back in April to scrounge some parts for my F3 and a guy had some front fenders there. I was looking for earlier year ones, so the fenders might be still around. They weren't in great shape but with that type of truck you take what you can find if they are in better shape than what you have. If you contact the guys that put on that show they might know who has them.
Good luck and welcome.

Thanks all!

The truck was my dads first, and has been a farm truck all its life. It was parked out in the cow field years ago and thus needs alot of sheet metal work. Hopefully we can save the flathead v8 and transmission. I will upload some pictures tomorrow, it is rough but you only have one first truck!
