How to stop spilling drinks in my truck.

Alright guys I just spilt one of those massive fountain drink cups that you get at gas stations in the floor of my truck. How in the world do you guys hold on to a drink without spilling it?? I typically just put it inside the step between the door and floor of my truck but still occasionally falls, today the cup was to big to fit inside and full to the top when it hit the floor. Any way I can get a cup holder in this thing??

I've got a coffee can Tuck-taped to the transmission cover. It's a Melitta, so it almost matches the poppy red interior.

They make little consolettes that have both storage and drink holders and either strap/velcro to your bench seat or just sit there by gravity. Or you could always hold it (carefully) between your legs like we did back in the day.

I have a roll of duct tape sitting on my bench seat. Plop the drink right in the middle. It's usually a non spilling travel mug or bottle of water, but it never falls over.

Have had too many similar incidents in the 65 with the 4 speed, only with hot coffee. Several years back installed later model Lariat 40-20-40 seats but failed to have the upholstery shop install deeper cup holders, not residing in flat lands the shallow cup holder is useless.

The other 65, previous owner placed a coffee cup holder, with a lid for storage that sets perfect on the relatively flat trans tunnel, use velcro to secure it to the floor.

For those of w/ floor shifts the duct tape sounds like a reasonable alternative?
