I thought about that, but it only does it when im actually driving. Otherwise it just revs up no problem. I got some ****ty luck let me tell you..
I bought some of that belt spray, hopefully that works. Will test today after rush traffic.

I foresee mechanics saying "yeah we replaced the belt and its fine now".

I saw this video though.

I wish this guy was my next door neighbor lol.. I dont think mechanics around here would know this. And i dont want to be "the guy" that tells them how to do their job.

rock and hard place.

Something has to be misaligned or dragging. All the pulleys spin pretty good without the belt?

I had a problem like this with my 1994 f350, replaced the belt, tensioner, Idler and the power steering pulley as well as the water pump and fan clutch for good measure and it kept shredding belts just the same. I finally figured out that there were 2 different size belts made for the 7.3 and they were only like an inch different (Gates K061110 vs K061120) both of which fit but only one of which would last more than a few weeks and unfortunately i sold that truck and dont remember which one was right but maybe just knowing there are technically 2 different belts will be enough to help you. Good luck

Was length the only difference between those two belts? Possibly a little difference in width or groove spacing? Buy them both and try them out!

An inch difference in length is a pretty big difference. Hey tjc transport, what is "Pitch length" in reference to??

pitch length is the distance between the center line of two pulleys.

that is what i am thinking. telling the parts monkey 94 IDI turbo diesel and parts monkey types in 94 diesel. then gives belt for a powerstroke.

Tom is right, I have this issue EVERY TIME I tell them I have a 94 Diesel ...

Like he says, tell them you have a 93 Diesel and they'll get it right. They are pretty much if not identical!

-Enjoy

So I get the shorter one (K061110) or longer one (K061120)?

I got the K061110 from O'Reillys just now. I asked for the 93 IDI.

Funny thing is I told them my problem and he said that the 94 is showing the K061120, but if i have a 94 with ambulance package, it's K061110.

Very confusing, I thought belts might have been too tight since the previous owners plastic pulley seems to be super smashed in but probably more due to heat than pressure?

So apparently this is the one with ambulance package on a 94 in their system even though it's not an balance, it's a uhaul.

Anyways, going to autozone to see which one I ordered before and currently have in the truck. I see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ok im back home now.
I purchased a belt 6 days ago (its the one thats on the van right now) from Autozone.
I asked for a 94 E350, 7.3 non ambulance package.
They game me The Belt: 1115K6

Today, I bought 2 belts.
1 from O'reilleys: K061110 ( I requested the 93' belt).
1 from Autozone: 1105K6 (I requested the 93' belt). (different from the belt thats on right now).

When I compare the 2 belts that I just purchased, the K06116 seems to be slightly bigger, like almost quarter inch. Which isnt a big difference at all. Maybe they are the same part?

Were you guys saying that I needed a smaller or bigger belt?

Im gonna pull the one thats in there and compare.

Before I take out the belt, it seems to be doing good so far. But i only changed it about 6 days ago. What alarmed me was that I would see the threads on the sides. But looking at these 2 other belts, the new ones actually show more threads on the sides!. So mayby this belt is fine? **** no idea.

Should I just put the oreilly K061110?
