Question Love my 1st Ford even though it is cursed.

Hi, My name is Jon. I have a 1990 f250 7.3 idi 4x4 with 5speed ZF-5 tranny and 410 gears. This gem was a fire dept. light duty truck in deep east Texas for the first 20yrs of its life. Truck has 99,000 Original miles, and interior is astonishingly clean.

Now.... If i put a new model sterling rear end with 373 gears on my truck, How difficult? Or what all is involved in changing the front diff. gears?

Welcome...why not just change the gears in the rear end you have now?

Or go ask that question under the specific section and folks will know more about that model.

Rear end swap

Sorry about posting in the wrong spot. Im brand new to Forums, and computers so please bear with me. I was wanting to swap the rear ends because the original 3/4 ton one needs pinion bearing and seal replaced, and I have this new model Sterling dually rear end just sitting around. Its way beefier and springs are alot stouter than mine, both of which is exactly what i need. Truthfully I would like to keep the 410 gears due to the gutless non turbo motor.
