56 Cab Salvage - parts?
I have a 56 cab that I am cutting up and thought that I would offer up any parts that any of you may want. I removed the roof and a buddy took the lower lip of the rear cab wall. Here is a pic of the cab, I spent $$$ having it sandblasted thinking that it was going to be usable but alas there is just too much hacking on the floor/firewall by the PO. There is a cowl vent that has been tacked in place and the channel below the windshield that is pristine. Even the front cab mount plates are rust-free. I thought I would make the offer before it went to scrap.

If ya don't mind can ya take a look and let me know what you think. I'm looking to be able to take the piece off your cab and then do the work to recess a flip gas filler on that. Then graft that info my cab. If you could take a look and see if there is enough good steel around that are I'd be happy to take it from ya. I'm thinking like a 10-12" square section around where the area of the filler hole pass through would be perfect.

Hinges and dash are spoken for, the rear window surround is currently still attached to the roof which I am keeping. My intent with the roof is to hold onto it since there are many cabs in need of roofs...I have scrapped more than a few that had rotted roofs. The reason I kept the window surround with the roof section is because I am going to use the piece as a mold to cast a foam headliner. I believe that if a 56 F100 owner had the option to buy a cast foam headliner that could be easily upholstered and then installed with little more than spray adhesive that this would be a benefit. Heat and sound insulation, ease of installation, and a reasonable price.
As for the cab parts, they are being provided at the cost of shipping alone.
