Everybody I have talked to who took care of the 7.3 PS said it would run run run n run and I have talked to a few people who validated seeing them in person with over a million miles on them. Camper pullers mostly, all highway miles..........
As stated as long as you take care of it, I have the IDI's and feel these are no where near a PS 7.3.
I have an 04 late build f250 with 308,000k that has had oil cooler and egr cooler replaced. I am seriously considering having push tubes and lifters replaced

I don't blame you. A lifter coming apart can be catastrophic. I put a large round magnet on the bottom of my oil pan in hopes if a roller comes apart the magnet will hold the needle bearing before it gets passed through the oil pump. Hopefully it never comes to that.
I think when I hit 200 it maybe in the plans.
I hear the same thing, but what I don't hear is what it takes to make them run n run.
I will wager anyone here our 6.0 will go a million miles if I throw enough cash at it, but in the end if it does go a million miles you will probably only hear of a fraction of what it cost to get there.
