Highest Mileage 6.0 seen without a rebuild

Just curious because the 7.3 was commonly known to go way over a million without a major overhaul..........Thanks.

That's interesting because I have never seen one with over 500 000 that has not been completely overhauled.

Anthony ( run6.0run ) from superduty service had his personal truck go like 750,000+ I believe before he had to rebuild it. It may have been 650k.

Define commonly please. I know they are out there but I don't know that it is a a common occurrence, unless you ask a 7.3 owner.

Everybody I have talked to who took care of the 7.3 PS said it would run run run n run and I have talked to a few people who validated seeing them in person with over a million miles on them. Camper pullers mostly, all highway miles..........

As stated as long as you take care of it, I have the IDI's and feel these are no where near a PS 7.3.

No, the 7.3 is not commonly known to go over a million miles without an overhaul. Even 500k on a 7.3 is going to take some money

Most I've personally ever seen on a 7.3 was 550k without a major overhaul, most on a 6.0 was 440k.

I have an 04 late build f250 with 308,000k that has had oil cooler and egr cooler replaced. I am seriously considering having push tubes and lifters replaced

I don't blame you. A lifter coming apart can be catastrophic. I put a large round magnet on the bottom of my oil pan in hopes if a roller comes apart the magnet will hold the needle bearing before it gets passed through the oil pump. Hopefully it never comes to that.
I think when I hit 200 it maybe in the plans.

I haven't had a diesel since my 7.3, but it was 960k when I gave it to my brother and still running. Now back to diesel with a 6.0

No rebuild. Injectors, fluids, tires and shocks. Unless you want to count needing a new seat twice.

I hear the same thing, but what I don't hear is what it takes to make them run n run.

I will wager anyone here our 6.0 will go a million miles if I throw enough cash at it, but in the end if it does go a million miles you will probably only hear of a fraction of what it cost to get there.
