Long bed -> Short bed, Cutting frame. Any one done this?

x2 The fish plates are what really matters. Avoid sharp transitions at all costs.

It was only loaded with a bobcat so the drop wasn't too far. Dropping cinderblocks off a roof would probably be different.

Z cuts are the best way to make the cut; plain and simple.
Necessary? Nope. Best? Yep. Worth the trouble? Up to the guy holding the knife.
