Good morning Jim and fellow woodchucks and impostors. I am off to board meetings in Burlington today. Looks like we might not make it to camp this week - tomorrow Helen has to run to NH to pick up a rescue dog. By Thursday/Friday I'll need to mow if we get the bit of rain we're supposed to get over the next couple of days from T storms.
Roy, glad you are keeping the trees at bay - best to keep the roof in one piece. Looks like you are having a great trip so far. Like the Navy flag out front. I fly the Army flag along with the US. Have to compete with the darn Marines who always seem to have one of those red flags out no matter where you go. Something about once a Marine always a Marine I guess.
Helen and I have been toying with the idea of a truck camper for next year and doing an across the country run but don't really want to drag a whole house along. Thinking we'd rather take the back roads and stay off the interstates so we can see the real USA, not what is served up by the interstates. That would be better in a truck camper. Can't afford a new one - prices for them are crazy - as much as for a 40 foot 5th wheel - but they still have an appeal because you can go anywhere and park anywhere you can fit the truck. More like traveling by motorcycle where we always look for the local roads and enjoy meeting people in the small towns and back country. But trying to find a used TC in good condition here in the east is a chore. Seem to be a lot more popular out west. We'll see,
You all have a great day - I have to get my butt in gear for my meetings.

Never looked at those truck campers. Then you could trailer the bikes also
