Oh NO! Ron was a selfless guy. You could tell in his YouTube videos that he just wanted to help, and save people a LOT of money by DIYing our own vehicles.
I picked up Torque Pro, an app for Androids. Installed it on a tablet and thought, "it doesn't cover much other than temps and RPM." But I saw someone else had a screenshot of that app with FICM Volts.
So I went to DTRons Channel and sure enough, there was a video on how to enable the Powerstroke module for this app and how to create a couple of custom PID's that he and his son had figured out.

His passing is a great loss to not only us PSD saps but to every life he touched.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
RIP Ron, you were a one-in-a-million guy and will be sorely missed.
A truly sad day indeed.

RIP Ron,

Thinking now we only talked a couple of times, but my first message to you was thanking you for everything you had done and how much myself and everybody appreciated you. My condolences to your family and I hope they are able to find a way forward without your guidance.

Wow, I don't know how I missed this earlier. My prayers go out to his family in this time of grieving. They are going to go through a hard time, but the Lord is there walking with them. God bless.

I just drove past this area today while out running around Hemet. Condolences for the family and the fact that this tragedy may have been avoided if he had only worn a seatbelt makes it more difficult to grasp.

do we have any more info on how he passed?? I hope it wasn't something "dumb" like no seat belt, granted I wish he was still here but if he had to pass I hope it was something out of his immediate control like a drunk driver or something like that that caused his passing....I wish I live closer to the family so I could get a card or something and have us FTE guys all sign it and then take it to them and let them see the support they got from all of us...

A young 20-24 year old (reports vary) driver fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the center divide, and hit the Volkswagon Beetle that Ron was driving head on. Because Ron was not wearing a seatbelt, he was ejected from the sunroof of the Beetle when it rolled over.

Oh, its sad but at least he isn't suffering, do we know the year of the Beetle? Im guessing it was a newer type?
