1977 Ford T18 swap

I'm a long time lurker here. I'm having a really rough time finding any info on a 5 speed T18 I picked up. Through some research, i found out the t18 does come in a 5 speed however i can't find a 5 speed rebuild kit to save my life. Also I want to swap out my np435 with the t18 and have done a little research on that as well. I've heard 2 stories though, some say you can do it with out modifying your drive shaft, other's say you can't. I just want some thoughts and opinions on this. I have a np205 tc and running on a 400m.

Sorry for the bad picture, I have the truck put back together now, just got a new phone and don't have new pictures yet. Will add more later.

No such thing as a Borg Warner T-18 5 speed, it's a 4 speed.

All the casting numbers suggest the transmission is a np435, i pulled it out of an 84 bronco , it's definitely a 5 speed though. First and reverse are non syncro too. It stumped the teachers at my school as well.

The shift pattern is
1 3 5
2 4 R

As original, 1984 Bronco could have:

RTS TS-OD Top Shift 4 Speed Overdrive.

Borg Warner T-18 4 Speed.

New Process 435 4 Speed.

If it was stock. I have another np435 laying around, I'm just going to rip that apart and compare them at this point. I really just want to find a rebuild kit for it.

I really don't think it's a t18 or np435 if it's really 5 speeds. Have you checked to make sure it's actually got 5 speeds and someone didn't change the shift ****?

If it is a 5-speed, then it's neither a T18, nor an NP435.

But New Process did make 5-speed truck transmissions as far back as the 1950's.
And Clark were making them (non-synchromesh) in WW2. I have a couple in & from GMC 2 1/2 ton trucks.

IDK about Borg Warner 5-speeds.
