I know what youre thinking. This has been hashed out about a 1000 times but Im not seeing what Im looking for. I thought the frames and suspension on the 2007-2014 had the same parts bolt hole alignment and all no matter the air ride or coil struts. I would like to go with the coil strut system. Im fearful of aftermarket components. been burned so Im worried about the quality of the aftermarket conversions. So my Question.... Do the oem struts interchange so I can delete my air in the rear??? Thank you guys.

 

I have an '07 Navigator and the air vs coil/gas shocks mount the same front and rear.
On a later (2014) expedition I noticed the lower fronts mounting had changed (for the better).
From 2007 on there were no air shocks on the front for the Expedition or Navigator. The tow package had air shocks on the rear only.

I also used the Monroe struts in my conversion last year. Have 10K miles on them and have no regrets.

I had a compressor fail on an 09 EL Limited with rear air. I struggled with several of the aftermarket "coilover" vendors options not being approved for EL.

I purchased a used set of rear coil overs from a 2010 non air truck and swapped out the shocks for new bilstiens and everything bolted right in. They also worked amazingly well (and I loved the air).
