I'm curious. Sadly that plus a new core support is close to buying the over priced rip off ones.

Update, lots of small stuff done.
After much hassle and borrowing Clifford's batteries and Idm I have come to the conclusion. Clifford and "grenade" both need batteries. I used the battery out of my big mower and got the old thing running. I let it run and started several times. It's still full of air I know .
Then the whole deal went south, the ebp ruptured and pumped oil out everywhere back by the turbo. I guess Clifford's deleted parts will go on this.
45mins and it looked something like this.

No never. I got my dads tiller going last night. Rebuilt carb and changed it from points to solid state ignition.
Its been around longer than me. It was the very first thing I remember doing any mechanical work on. Lots of memories.

I remember dads till I worked on when I was a kid.

I bought an mid 70s Sears HD tiller 8hp not running for 20 bucks

After a coil, points, and condenser it ran very well. less than 50 invested and this thing will throw you if not careful.

Tell me about it. Gearhead got my chip last Monday and had it back in the mail on Tuesday, but UPS took a week to get it from TX to WA. I checked the tracking and they sent it from Bryan, TX > Mesquite, TX > back to Bryan, TX > back to Mesquite, TX and then every other stop between there and WA.
