Speaker boxes, behind the seat or door?

I have a 79' standard cab F100 that I want to install my 6x9's and 10" sub in. I'd like to see some pics of what others have did before I decide how to mount mine.

The 10" sub shouldn't be that tough with a modestly sized box to toss right behind the seat, but 6x9s might pose a slight challenge to achieve a spot where they'll fit AND give you good sound.

If you don't have the in cab tank build boxes like I did. 3/4 mdf sprayed with bed liner.

10" sub inside center console.

Very nice co425, I'm not too worried about getting the full bandwidth of my 6x9's, by mounting them behind the seat, as they put out a lot of low end to help compliment the sub, I'm too cheap to buy another sub. I intend on buying some mid range speakers for the doors. By making a box like you have for the 6x9's though, it looks like I would be able to get some of the mid and highs to filter up from behind the seat. By the way, very nice and clean wiring job!

Thanks. The wiring is even cleaner now. It's all split loomed and tied up.

I also have 6.5"s in the doors and tweeters below the vent window. Sounds pretty damn good.

Four 8" subs with amp in the middle. I wanted a lockable storage box above. Without the lockbox you could rearrange subs, amp, speakers, etc with unlimited possibilities.

did you do any electrical upgrades like a new alternator because I’ve been trying to get a setup just like this but my regulator keeps blowing and battery just keeps on dying. I checked all wires there is no short so idk why the regulator would blow so any help wooed be appreciated.

Nicely done. What brand of spray bed liner did you use, it looks so even.

I don't have a picture but I had a ranger and I did those angled 6x9 boxes with one 10" base tube and it sounded great.

I'm sure those are some great photos and posting them you intended for all of us to benefit from them but there's just one thing when you use "Photobucket" to archive your photos they put a water market over all their archived photos so that when you share them the photo's are of little value to the person you are sharing them with.. but thanks for the effort.
