2001 F150
I've got a 2001 F150 with the trailer package, 9.75 rear end, 3.55 gears, and the 5.4 Triton motor. We just purchased a '16 Jayco Jayflight SLX 264BHW to pull. This truck has 133K on the odo and was set up to pull a TT by the original owner. Our family friends FIL bought it brand new and pulled a TT with it before he went into the nursing home.
I've driven tractor trailer for better than 25 years and have prepped the truck for this task. New master cylinder, flush & add tranny cooler, flush all fluids and renew, the brake pads themselves and the rotors are in good shape. Got a WD hitch when we got the new trailer, so it looks and rides pretty good. The original brake controller was with the truck and was re-installed, and works fine. Have I missed anything??
Thanks for any input as I just found this site, and it's absolutely phenomenal!!
I'll get some pics up this weekend as we're going on our first camping trip with the trailer.

Congratulations! Jayco makes a great product.
Here is the towing guide for your truck: https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas...1/campercd.pdf it will provide you with the towing limits for your truck. Once you have those nailed down, the truck loaded, and the trailer hitched, all that's left is to hit the CAT scales to ensure you are within limits and your load is balanced correctly.
Good luck!
