So I couldn't find a topic like this anywhere on here, but if I missed it, I apologize in advance!

After recently purchasing a '65 F100 that was brought back to life after years off the road, I'm running into quite the hangup at the Rhode Island DMV. I don't know if any other states are like this, but what the DMV is saying is that if I can not provide the last registration that was held on the truck, that I can not register it. I possess every other single piece of paperwork under the sun for the truck (each bill of sale for the last two or three owners including mine, affidavits, etc.), but the one document that apparently the state of RI "needs" (even though it's not listed on the RI DMV website as a required piece of documentation) is the last registration.

Being off the road for so many years and exchanging hands during its resurrection at least once or twice, it's not looking like it's possible at all to find any past registration. The state of RI does not issue bonded titles, so I'm pretty much out of ideas.

I'm sure I can't be the only one who has run into this issue - does anyone have any ideas, solutions, or experiences they can share?!
