keep my 6.8 or get 6.2 or 6.7?

My wife drives the truck sometimes and is getting tired of having to manually unlock all of the doors for our 3 kids, and likes to put the windows down when it warms up (so do i) which is hard when you can't reach them to crank them down. I found a 2011 6.7 lariat with 162k miles on it but i'm unsure how the reliability has been on them. It really comes down to whether my 6.8 will outlast the 6.7, and I honestly don't know.

I currently have a 2008 f250 cc,lb,XL with 162k miles and manual windows, locks, and mirrors. I'm looking at other trucks and have found a couple 2011/2012 f250/350's with 6.2 and 100-130k miles, or with 6.7 and 175-19k miles, all XLT cc some sb some lb. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on whether to go with the higher mile diesel, lower mile 6.2, or keep my 6.8? I tow around 11k lb trailer 6-8 times a year (once around 900 miles, others 200-400).
Why would you pick up an out of warranty truck you really will know nothing about? I'm not trying to be mean but if your truck is running fine why are you looking to move it?
Like others have said you can put the creature comforts in place if that's the issue.
Start saving some cash and buy a lower mileage unit in a few more years. The initial price tag of a high mile used truck may be inviting but you may end up paying up in the future due to repairs and maintenance. Or you may not. No one can know.
If you had listed trucks in the 30-50k/mi range I'd say go take a look!
My thoughts/opinions? That's a bad move. But that's me.
Whatever you do just take your time and evaluate it all. Make sure it's really a good move.
Good luck!

I appreciate the advise. I wish I could just find a donor vehicle to swap the doors off of and the necessary wiring/modules. I'll keep looking and see if something with lower miles pops up, or a donor vehicle. I did find a 6.2 with 95k miles on it that I thought about checking out but wonder if i'd be disappointed in it vs the 6.8.

I bought my current truck with over 130k on it, so don't think the miles are to bad as long as there are some maintenance records. My in-laws own an auto shop too, so if there are smaller things that need done it's ok, as long as the big stuff holds up. They're not a diesel shop though, so the reliability of the engine is my biggest concern.

I made the mistake of driving a 6.7 a few years ago and have wanted 1 ever since. I also wouldn't mind the increased gas mileage and towing capacity of the diesel. I've looked at other toy haulers and the weight could be over the capacity of my current setup and a newer diesel will get me another couple thousand lbs of towing capacity

I had a 08 v10 and traded it in on a 13 6.2, that was the worse thing I ever did. I should have kept the v10. The 6.2 for me was a waste of time and should not be in a super duty. I only owned it for 10 months, I just hated it. I now have a 6.7 and really like it but I miss the simplicity of the v10. I am shopping around for a cab and chassis v10 to replace my 6.7.

I'm not the only one that has noticed that the 6.2 needs to rev to make any kind of power. I hated the constant need for the engine to be spinning way up there to make power. It's been mentioned by others but they just deal with it because thats what ford offers in the Super duty line.
