Pertronix ignitor III billet dizzy

Ok, screw MSD. I'm seriously considering buying a billet distributor from pertronix with their ignitor 3 tech. Multiple spark and rev limiter.

Dizzy and coil package is $275. Can't really beat that for a multi-spark unit with a rev limiter. And the distributor uses roller bearings so that's pretty much a never going to fail thing.

I've got pertronix stuff on a f209 Continental and a THD Wisconsin. Never had a problem.

Well I got it and installed it and drove it. Still driving it.

Good
It has a good performance curve.
Rev limiter works.

Questionable?
I think it could use more aggressive timing down low.
Longer cranking time to start, but consistent.

All in all, no "wow amazing difference". But it's quality stuff. I would go back to the stock dizzy with regular ignitor if it didn't mean wasting the $275.

Update.

I had left the rev limiter set to its factory 5500. After a few months, it was cutting me off at 4200. Yet it was still set to 5500. I don't know why, I'm guessing it got dirty or something? I turned it up to 6500 and not had a problem since.
