No one carries lowering shackles for a 61' f100 but I can find them for 65 thru 72. I looked up the spring sizes and it says all the 60's f100s had 2 1/4" wide springs. I'm about to just order a set for a 65 assuming they are the same. Can anyone confirm that 2" drop shackles for the 65 thru 72 years will also work on a 61?

 

The spring hangers are smaller on 61-64s and the 65+ shackles are to large.


Many, including myself are using the 65+ shackles but you have to grind them to fit.


I don't like it, so I am on the lookout for a set of 65+ hangers for my 64.

 

By too large you mean too long? Like they will hit the bottom of the bed? I went ahead and ordered the 65+ shackles and I'm alright with a little modification.
