well, i dont know yet. Only got the truck 2 months ago. She already has 318 k miles, so i dont know if its worth it. Also, i plan on putting a plow harness on, so you know. BUT if i decide its worth it (along with my mechanic) i want to do a KT tuner, 4 inch down pipe going to a performance muffler, wicked wheel gen 2, custom napa air box, and lastly only if she becomes a plow truck, a solid front axle. I dont feel as if driving around the farm needs a solid front axle, but the other mods seem nice since I tow a 2500 lbs boat.

That's pretty low for all the powerstrokes I've seen around here! I got lucky picking mine up with only 186k, but it was somewhat neglected. Everything else I saw and was thinking of getting had about 300k. My motor is caked in grime, but at least I have it pulled and now can concentrate on cleaning it up and replacing all the oil seals. I want to do some mods to it while it's out as well... I just have to see what kind of $$$ that will take. I currently ran out of funds so it's just cleaning time for me....

When I bought my truck it only had 145K on it, and had been sitting most of it's life out by a barn. The owner used it to pull a cattle trailer to the sale barn once a month, and it had all the signs of being neglected. Faded paint, clear coat peeling, engine compartment was caked in Oklahoma dirt and dust, don't think it had ever been cleaned out or washed except when he decided to sell it, but at least the truck had a maintenance history that I was able to acquire. I cleaned on it for a month and even removed a rats nest from on top of the spare tire. It's a good truck now!

I definitely would like to try and get an intercooler on my 7.3. I like how most of the pipes are painted on them too that people have posted. I did have a question regarding paint on the pipes as well. Would it be worth it to ceramic coat my manifolds and the connecting pipes to the turbo while I have the engine out? I want them to look nice, but am a little scared that if I take off the manifolds and such I may cause sealing issues when going to install them. Also, I don't know if there would be much of a benefit to ceramic coating other than aesthetics (which is pretty important to me also when I'm doing all this work.) Has anyone painted/powdercoated/ or ceramic coated their manifolds?

Post #5 on page one was after the fire on the 'mare' truck. This is a before picture, I just don't feel like painting them again!

Todd is right Jarrett. It's a double pulley from kilby. The mount is on the alternator side in the picture, but the york isn't. It is on and working now, just don't have a picture of it.

Interesting!! I was thinking about doing onboard air with an electric compressor mounted on the frame rail. But that's way way way down on the list.
