What sends power to "Radio Start" fuse?
Hi, I am trying to diagnose a radio issue on my 2006 F350 where I have power to the clock/menu button/cd eject and load but nothing as far as AM/FM preset buttons or even the main power on and off. I still have the factory stereo.
I went through all the fuses in the fuse box and found that the "radio start" 5 amp fuse (#32) does not have power on either side of the fuse regardless of key position. What feeds power to that fuse?

Most likely, the audio unit has failed if some of of the buttons are illuminated but it doesn't turn on. It's still necessary to prove out your power and grounds to the unit before condemning it, though.
C290a - Pin 1 LG/VT - ALWAYS HOT for memory and clock functions, via fuse F11
C290a - Pin 2 Pink - Switched power from Accy Delay Relay then fuse F42
C290a - Pin 15 Red/Black - HOT IN START via fuse F32
C290a - Pin 4 Ground for illumination circuit
C290a - Pin 13 Black/Lt Green - Ground, operational

Thanks for the information. I did some more digging and this is where I'm at with it...
All fuses are good and have power on both sides when they should. I swapped the delayed accessory relay with another known good relay and there was no change. I pulled the radio and found that I had no power to the pink wire with the ignition on or any other key position. I did have power to the other two hots. I made sure all the connections where tight including the ones on top of the cluster. I pulled down the fuse panel to look at the backside and saw nothing out of the ordinary there. Put it back together and now it works, but why? From your post, I guess I should take another look at fuse 42 as the issue obviously had something to do with what is feeding power to the pink wire. Any other information about where the pink wire travels?
Thanks for the help

same issue.
Hi I'm having the same issue. radio is good. I can jump it with the other radio power source for the clock and it works but no power from the radio fuse. no power at the fuse box. looks like there is a white wire with a pink stripe that is suppose to be feeding the fuse and I'm not reading any voltage from there. I dont know where that wire traces back to and everything in the power distribution box seems good. I dont know where to go from here. if anyone can help me out that would be great. thanks.
