Hi. I am a new member but a ford guy from away back 1979. Have owned f100, f150, f250, f350, station wagons, PINTOS (YUP).Bronco 11s
Currently own a 2013 f250 6,2 couple of bronco 2,s and a 1979 f150 4by 4.
The f150 has been stored for 6 years and when I tried to start it it ran very rough, so far I have put in new plugs, ignition wires, carburetor kit, distributor cap and rotor,. Compression is low at 130 to 135 and timing is correct at 8 btdc, It only seems to run on 1,2,6,8 cylinders. ie 3,4,5,7 don't fire even though they all get spark. before I do cylinder leakage tests and pull the intake manifold I have some questions for those who are familiar with intake manifolds. The carburetor is a 2100 two barrel carb and the intake manifold is a dual plane model. Does anyone know which cylinder each plane feeds the fuel mixture to> ??? Thanks a lot.
I have asked ford as well as ask,com and cant seem to get an answer from anyone although a google search over 2 days gave a number or thoughts.
If you know for sure id like to hear from you. Thanks Norski
