It is relatively clean, rust is just starting to form on the rear arches and there is a fair amount of bubbling on the lower pass side front fender. The door locks are temperamental, I stand by the door pressing the key fob constantly until the drivers door unlocks (most of the others work fine) which is aggravating.
To be honest I don't like driving it, though. It's kinda small. I'm used to the pickup or my old Bronco.

My buddy had the same vintage explorer and I always thought it felt very small and confined inside. I never liked driving it either. The site lines out the front corners were a little rough and made it feel even smaller.
Warm day for us out here, we're in the 30's. This is the last of the warmth, we're seeing more negative temperatures this week. Looking forward to the Super Bowl today and a long weekend up next.
I was planning on heads cam intake headers fresh bearings and headers if everything checks out. Now it's carb adapter plate and put it in till the $ is free
