Ma Nature teased Central Illinois today with one of those 50°+ March days today just to throw us in the deep freeze early next week.

 

Good evening NY. Back in the State after leaving gas at $1.479 in VA.
Most of the snow I saw on the ground was from lower to mid PA. And that wasn't very deep.

That will change, Rick. Esp. if Obumma's $10 surcharge on a barrel of oil goes through.

 

Does anyone really know what the price of a gallon of gas is?

 

What ever they can get away with, Rick.
A few years ago there was an investigation into why gas was $.10 to $.25 a gallon higher than nearby areas. Basic answer "they can afford it"

 

I'm from an era where gas would stay at the same price for a year or more. Sometimes the price changes three times a day now.

 

That's going back a spell Rick.
Had to take a nap. I remember I was in VA, during the Gulf War. Bush would make a statement , up $.10/gal on the gas. Powell would say something, up another $.10
I worked at a gas/service station on LI where we marked up the gas $.02 above our cost. Even checked the oil, water and tire pressure at the pumps.
