My first F150

This is all new to me. I have owned Fords before, but this is my first F150. It's a 2012 XTR 4x4.

This is my baby ready to come home from the dealership.

Yes. The XTR is a Canadian chrome XLT package.

My first truck!

Just purchased this ‘89 F-150 XLT Lariat (6 Cylinder / 5 speed / 108k miles).

I’ll be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to maintaining a truck like this. I grew up around my dad working on his classics but never participated and I couldn’t tell you how everything under the hood works. I did my best asking all the questions to the seller, feels like it’s in pretty decent shape except for…. the oil leak.

Hoping to learn from y’all on here.

"Welcome" solid looking trk !! I'll ' bet the salesman couldn't tell you much about the XTR pkg did he ??

we wllI try......XTR was basically a further chromed up option to a XLT. available only in Canada........Front fender badges "XLT" & rear quarter "XTR" badges my 1st was a 91 (had several)..
Basic add-ons were chrome rims/chrome running boards/ fake wood grain paneling around the radio bezel & also inside door handles (rims/tire size/ running boards/wood grain inserts)........late 90's & newer saw changes like aluminum 17'' rims & tires/Aluminum chromed running boards....But they dropped the wood grain after @ least 03.....into & after 04 tires/rims became 18'' & was still the same on my 11/13 & 16....so there you have it !! Any XTR's sold in the "US" are imported used trks from Canada
I may be only 99% right here but basically Aluminum rims/& tire size/.running boards/badges for added $$.....
