Looking at getting a new truck.

Hello everyone,
It looks like i'll be selling my 04 f250 this weekend and i've been eyeing these two f150s at my local dealer. Both are 2011, xl, white, 4x4, 5.0s with one being an ext cab with 96k miles and the other a crew with 112k. From talking with them it sounds like they were both fleet trade ins.
I've briefly looked through this section and it seems most people are happy with these trucks. Are there any common problems I should look for?

The F-150 is a super-solid truck. I presume both trucks are the 145" WB (the supercab will have a 6.5' bed, the supercrew has a 5.5 in the 145" WB). There have been some issues with the models with the two-piece drive shaft. They seem particularly quirky especially if suspension mods are done. I think the 145" WB has the single piece driveshaft (at lease mine does) My buddy has a supercrew with a 6.5' bed (157" WB); it has a two-piece driveshaft; however he as had no issues (he has no mods and tows a 6,500 lb camper). The 5.0 is a stellar engine; few issues. The only one of note is some develop an engine tick; give the engine a good listen. My 5.0 tows my 3,500 lb boat and 3,200 lb camper stellar. Good luck shopping; one of my best friends has a 2013 XLT ecoboost (mentioned before) and my uncle has a 2013 Lariat ecoboost. We all love our trucks and have had no issues.

It's probably best if you could start the truck up cold and give it a good listen. There were some issues with the #8 cylinder but I think those were limited to trucks running a tune.
