Bent Running Board

Well today was a rough day from the time I got up and at the end if the day I was a dummy.

I turned a corner too tight where I work (I knew better) and I went over a snow pile. Well needless to say it was more ice than snow and I heard it. I bent the factory cab step in the back.

Has anyone had any luck bending them back? Stealership wants $650 each. I might go aftermarket but I really like factory chrome ones that are on the truck.

Any ideas out there?

I am most likely interested unless I find one local, which looks doubtful.

Snow, whats that. I am in N.E. Ohio and haven't had enough snow to even pick up a shovel. Let alone pile snow with a plow. Sorry, just venting. Lol

I've only had luck bending the rocker mounted brackets themselves back into vertical, the steps themselves once bent are very difficult to undo. I'm sorry there isn't a simpler answer!

Isn't there a ford dealer affiliated with this site that offers parts at a discount? Anyone remember their name? I'm sure they'll still be $$$ but you may be able to save a little. Idk.

Check car-part.com. Lots of "new take-offs" there. Most seem to be in MI or Ohio, so shipping to you probably won't be too bad.

Thanks for all of your help, like I said it was a rookie mistake, but it goes into the crap happens category.
