The high pressure turbo on my 08 went out during summer. I bought a set of Industrial injection turbos, and did the replacement cab on in the driveway.

It ran fine once it was all back together. Then about a week ago on the way home from work I noticed a howling noise starting. By the time I got the truck into the driveway I had lost all boost and the noise was really loud.

No noise at idle, but when power braked it comes back, and am getting no boost at all.

Did my new turbos just go bad? Or is it maybe an exhaust leak somewhere?

I checked all the up-pipe connections and couldn't feel any leaks anywhere, no soot on firewall etc. Turbo actuator is cycling...

 

Check your IC connections, maybe your blew off a clamp.

 

I checked all the IC boot connections, reseated and tightened the clamps today. No Luck same noise and lack of boost. This is also a brand new set of boots from dieselsite.

 

Finally got it torn apart again. Hi pressure impeller had FOD damage, not sure from what as the low pressure had no signs of ingesting anything. In the process of putting them back in. I need the spongey gasket that is between the fuel cooler and turbo connection, can't find anything about it online? anybody know the part number or what it is called ?
