There isn't many crew cab long bed out there in the "racing" world. However one is sticking out in my mind from the Wilmington area. It's a 95/96 7.3 powerstroke on 44s, pretty sure it was a 5 speed. Made a hell of a bog truck, but wasn't fast by any means.

The length and weight of a truck that big defeats the purpose of racing if your building serious power. However if you would plan on staying fairly stock where "planting the rear end" isnt a issue they make fun toys.

The main idea would be for fun, really just to try it out. The last thing I'd probably want to do is get stuck halfway. So I'd probably just be happy to get her to make it the whole way down the track.

Think Marty is ready to Pit Crew for me based on his reaction!

A good set of TSLS would go a very long way on a play toy.

I got my new hub locks in... ill tell ya the instructions are wrong... this is not something 1 person can do.. you need an assistant to help.. especially when your putting the retaining snap ring in...

I did manage to figure out why the pass side spacers always a PITA to get off

This is the driver side... it has the correct size studs...

someone in the trucks past has replaced the studs on the pass side and did not get the right ones...

they are correct for the SRW but duallys are shorter on the hub side and longer on the spacer for the rims to bolt to...

had to get out the big persuasion tool to get the spacer off..

same with the driver side..

Pass side

driver

off you go...

little scrubbing little cleaning makes it look just like new..

lithium and royal purple bearing grease..

for as small as that spring looks... its REALLY strong..

gears are in...

had to take the cap apart as it said to lube the seals... so popped the center out lubed up the seals with the lithium..

all together...

sure looks nice in there..

Hit up the flee market this morning, found a couple guys selling guns and stuff, AR12 the guy wants $1200 for, and a sks he wanted $900 for. Both priced a bit high in my opinion. Also guys peddling 22lr for a decent mark up....

However the trip wasn't wasted since I picked up a couple pair of brandnew tags still on them thermal pants for about what 1 pair cost. Also picked up a nice little cast iron pot set. Had intentions of picking up a few more but everyone wanted big money for very abused pans.

I managed to get my 2011 F150 and Shari's 08 Escape washed yesterday, as well and some yard work.
A few things to get done this morning, then do the inside of my truck, and a couple slabs of Ribs to get prepped so they can go in the smoker tomorrow then I'm hoping to get the carb off of Ka'Bluey today and get the kit to rebuild it.
Then some more job searching.....I've tried for years to get off of long term disability, now I really think they are about ready to drop me and I'm not having much luck finding work. As far as working in a shop enviroment again, there isn't muchof a chance due to my back issues. And I love driving, but have no desire to go OTR.
Y'all enjoy this nice weather!

Service Writer would be a good fit. Also IT would be a good fit, diagnosing a PC is just like diagnosing a car, except people don't frown on you for using Google to look up the issue!
