You tried a scrapyard? They may have a unit there from a wrecked truck you could get cheap to try?
As Pikachu pointed out earlier, the problem is already fixed. The OP is testing our collective knowledge.
To the OP: most of us have old used working parts that we swap out on our trucks and those of our family and friends. I carry some on the road along with the accompanying tools for fellow 7.3 owners for when, on the extremely rare occasion, I find one broken down.
And yes, having worked in a dealership parts and service department as a teenager a long time ago, you do swap in new only to remove it if it doesn't fix the problem as a test from time to time.
My bad, I get confused with all the different threads and I can't read every one of them from the beginning. Plus it may help out someone else on the future who may have a similar problem posting possible solutions/alternatives.
Well my first guess was IVT if it were an OBS or pedal TPS output voltage on your SD. The computer looks at IAT and EOT before it lets you go so I'm wondering if either or was not within spec/shorted?. Even with a closed ebpv it would get moving.
603 is typical when disconnecting the batteries. Next I'd lean towards checking your 12v supply to the ECM, verifying your have continuity. I'd assume the truck is chipped and would also inspect the pins on the back of the ECM since 0603 is commonly tripped by tuners if older units.
I have not had to go much further than that ever so i would have to get a book out :-)
