Just curious.
Have a 99 Eddie Bauer and considering a 98.
Both v8's.

Most parts compatable between the two?
Wheels? Interiors?
Want to swap over wheels, maybe a front bumper with the fogs and miscellaneous parts.

What's not compatable?

Appreciate any info. Sorry for the brief post.

They have been using parts across many Explorers...the Dash in our 96 is the same as the dash in our 02 Sport trac, other than the green gauges. Ford did a little bit of hocus pocus with the design over the years, but they always try to keep as many things the same for as long as possible to keep costs down. Take pictures of what you want to replace when you go to find parts from your donor vehicles. Rims are the same and compatible for almost all Explorers AFAIK.

 

Most if not all will fit....Hell I can make anything fit with a large enough hammer!!!

95-01 most of the body/ (all) interior items are interchangeable.

95-97 and 98-01 had wiring differences and fuel delivery differences along with the front axle of the 4x4 control trac trucks.

Chances are anything you want to swap, will go right on with no issue.
