Hello, I just bought a nice little flatbed 1950 ford f1 with short stakesides. I like everything about the truck except the 3 speed on the floor, and some shakiness in the frontend. Also the charging system isn't working which is 6 volt. I have been searching the internet and can't find much for websites that offer reproduction parts for these f1s. I want to rebuild the complete transmission but where to find the parts? Shifter is sloppy too!, pops out of gear and grinds into gear. Would consider a nice used 3 speed on the floor trans. The truck has a 6 cylinder which it appears the typical trans conversions won't work..only for the v8 models are those offered. Can anyone let me know about any websites dedicated to the 48-52? I could use a seat cover, trans rebuild kit, kingpin repair, front end parts etc. Thanks! OH, I'm 57 and have restored a few cars through the years.
