Have a good trip! Be following your journey. Didn't know JW did tunes any more. I know he got in some trouble with the 6.0l's. Good luck,

I usually open the hood, look it over pretty good, fire it up to make sure there are no leaks, shut it and go.

I don't blame you for looking it over real good though, just sayin' I'm getting a little lazy is all! That's one thing I haven't had to do yet is the oil cooler. My red truck sits all winter when they usually start leaking, and my other one had them replaced before I got it or I would have done it now.

Yeah,he says he still does it, but I am now actually considering taking it to GH to get it live tuned if I can. They are only a couple hours away. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what my options are. I kinda hate to mess with a good thing though. The shift points aren't perfect, but are they ever on a E4OD?! Other than the shift points, it has been running extremely well.

Darin, I am almost there on opening the hood and just going. I feel like if I don't look everything over, I am inviting bad karma..LOL!! If it weren't for towing, I'd probably do the same thing. I just gotta see if GH might be able to live tune it for me. The shift points are kinda wonky.

I did do my wheel bearings, and thank God I did, because they were almost bone dry. I decided to leave the u-joints alone for now. They look good.

Thanks Nick! I didn't want to get on at first, but I am really pretty pleased with it. More cargo room and I'll be able to lock up valuables. I kept my toolbox and I can reach it pretty well through those side windows.

I like your truck, if I could find one in that good of shape I'd snap it up for sure. I like the shell as well.

I don't know if you saw in the gear vendor thread but I emailed John and asked what he thought of the GV. I said these tuners can't get my shift points right and also said he never sent me any, LOL!

Ha! I didn't...I'll check it out. I am beginning to wonder if tuning may not be his forte! It's OK with me because he's one hell of a transmission builder, but yeah....

Thanks man. It's amazing how well I can see now. I just got back from a test drive. The low beams are better than what my high beams used to be! When I lined up at the garage door, only the pass. side needed one tweet. They were pretty much aligned. I just adjusted them until they were perfectly flush with the bezel and it worked great. They fit pretty nice too for Rockauto specials!

Yeah I went with ebay special tail lights the FoMoco are freaking expensive almost $180 a pair, to much for my liking but I know quality is there compared to the ebay special ones. Im planning with going with the clear housing on mine to give it a more modern look minus the markers I want to keep the orange markers.
