Good Morning Everybody!

I have to finish the chimney on my wood stove, fix/retune the carburetor on the Scab, color sand and buff the Chevy pick up and deliver that, then start on the 460 engine swap in a customer's truck.

.....then in my spare time......

Other than the rain is messing my day up big time, I've made a little progress. The garage is straightened up and I have everything swapped over to the driveshaft I picked yesterday. It sure was a relief when everything fit right together like it was supposed to. I'm in no mood to roll around in the mud to test fit it so the final test will have to wait.

When it stops raining for a bit, I'm going to just start at the front of the engine and go to the back putting things back together. Whatever I get done this weekend might be it for a little while - wife is having surgery Wednesday and working on the truck will move to the bottom of my priority list.

Afternoon All!

Dave. I hope everything goes well. I can relate on the rain messing up your day. I got soaked to the bone finishing the chimney for the wood stove, but it's done and it has a good draw. I heated the shop today for the first time with wood! Woo Hoo!

Of course, being soaked ruined my motivation to get much else done. I did the carb re-tuned on the Scab. It has a LOT more power now and I bet my gas mileage is high teens if I had to take a guess. (I leaned it out quite a bit) I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and get a decent exhaust put on it, then fix the u-joints. It should be a pretty nice truck after that.

I'm making progress Alan, but got pretty damp in the process.

The cooling system has been installed and, thankfully, everything went in just like it was supposed to. I'm drying out a bit and then I'll decide what I want to take on next. There's plenty to choose from, just need to make up my mind what to take on...

well good evening all, got some parts de-greased for the back end rebuild. Right now im trying to find an in/lb torque wrench. .. should be the only time i need it ... Other than that looking forward to the next few days of sunny weather. Oh and if if anyone is looking to trade some ford parts for a nice pot belly let me know!
