68" - 68 1/2" if you happen to have it. From looking at the older trucks, it looks as though they set the engine back further than earlier models so the shaft is shorter than usual.

I hadn't gotten online in a couple days, so it took a bit to catch up.
Rich I'm mending fine. I went to see the surgeon today for post op inspection. He said all is healing great.
I was worried, since the cut line feels like i got a peice of pipe running along the lengnth of the cut.And my scrotem is full of flid again. Dr. says that is normal and won't ever go back to normal size.
The yellow truck is back in the shop. This is the 2nd time it has been driven since I got back from the shop on the 12th.
It started surging while I was driving, at first I thought it was my imagination then after a few stops and on the way home from the DRs. office, the truck made this very odd hard I don't know how to explain noise and it shook the whole truck and it just died. I managed to get it started and drove a very short distance and it did it again.
In less than a mile it died at least 6 times, I managed to pull into a parking lot without power and called the tow truck again and had it towed to the shop.

Evening All!

I finally got the F-350 out of the shop today. I got all the bugs worked out and he drove it up the road to the exhaust shop to get a new pipe made to fit the manifold. It should be good to go after that's buttoned up.

Dave's niece stopped by so I could whip up a new gas tank strap for her Ford Focus, and I have a Trail Blazer in the shop right now with a mysterious vibration / belt squeal which I hope is a bad tensioner.

Tomorrow I may actually get that Chevy truck shot that I've been trying to get back to for over a week now.

Wednesday I have a transmission pump and seal to do in a Ford diesel. I'll be working all friggin' weekend, I'm sure.

Good call Dave. I was disassembling and reassembling the shop til midnight, making room for my mistress... a 47 Kelvinator. Now I'm paying the price because I was working on the clothes dryer this morning at 5:00.

Evening All!

I got the shop cleaned up, both straightened up, and a few mechanical jobs out. I got the rockers and cab corners shot on the Chevy truck. Tomorrow I can close the doors and retape it to shoot the passenger side of the truck. I need to get this one out and paid for. I'm starting to get sick of waiting on people to pay me. Rent's due and nobody showed up to pay me like they said they would. ...it's very frustrating.

Morning folks, do we all know where our wet weather jacket and boots are....

Alan hope these folks pay up, then it might be time to start getting an up front deposit (50 to 75%) for the pending job? Hang in there, hope it works out.

Did that guy with the $1500 green rig ever show up? The history on that rig sounded cool.

RC, Ed said he would rather wait till we can meet with you and make a Jy lap. But definitely he needs the piece of chrome for that chebby. And is interested to see what else in in there that he might need.

Al Scheppers here in Jeff City can possibly straighten and balance it for about 75.00, put a new tube in it and balance for about 150.00 or build a new one for 300.00. These are all rough guesstimates from Ben in the machine shop over the phone (573)636-2133. He said either process is usually same day.

good morning missouri... not sure what the day will bring today.. probably not much.. i would like to get the flat bump started if everything goes right

dave i'll measure a few shafts i have laying around here to see if i have one.. that is a long, hard to balance, and keep balanced shaft..

if there is already a crossmember under your truck to hang a swing bearing on i would seriously think about a 2 piece.. so much easier to build and balance .. and i know i have the parts to build it laying around here

RC , how close are you on the flat Bump? I haven't seen any pics of it since it was at Rich's.

i went out and measured about 20 shafts i have stored here at the house.. none were over 60"... there is a van and a car full at the yard.. if you dont come up with one i can check thru those when rich comes down and we walk the yard out.. but for 150 might be better to get a new tube and re-balance your old one.. if it worked once it should work again..
