Last time I drove it I paced a guy in front of me and in a 35 I was going 55 by the speedo so I need the stock size tires for the 88 for the speedo to read right. But on a good note with the smal tires she will do a burn out in 3rd. And I think I am going to need a new flywheel the dual mass that is in it clunks around at idle and I don't want it to explode.

I have a GPS speedometer app on my phone that takes care of my trucks

Evening All!

We just got home from the Ozark Christmas parade. Three times tiring the truck up and down. I'm sore. I also know that a 2 1/2 mile long parade is the absolute LONGEST parade Earthquake can do. The engine ran fine, it settled down to a steady 200 degrees water temp, but the oil temp kept climbing and I was down to 35 psi oil pressure by the end. The biggest problem I had was those junk Wilwood brakes. They got so hot they were smoking at one point. (steady down hill grade at 3 mph.) I got lucky and had a section of steady uphill so I could let them cool off. We got it tired back down and loaded up without issue. The parade was over at 6:30, I didn't get back to the shop until almost 8:30.

The speedo works and I want it to be more streetable with the smaller tires to actually go 65 I would be screaming I like the look of the smaller ones but I want it to be my daily driver. And when I retire my big black truck I am going to steal the front and rear axle and get an np 205 divorced and make the 69 4x4 and get a little better mileage. The black truck has a Dana 60? I think in the front an a sterling 10.25 in the rear with 3.55's all I would need then is the speedo gear for 3.55's. As soon as I can afford a 2008-2010 6.4 I can do the conversion.
Edit and my 460 is too thirsty to drive daily lol but damn fun

i think i will build a 'tarp wall' in the shop to cut it in half.. no use heating all those project cars .. should be warm and toasty in there all winter just having to heat half of it.. and i can pull the tarps up if i need to pull something straight thru the shop or something like that

Good Morning Everybody!

I'll be there after noon. I still have to tire the truck back up and clean up a bit. I don't need electricity for that. Y'all are welcome to swing by. I'm curious to see if this '79 F-250 shows up today. The guy said he might drop it off today. He really wants me to owe HIM money, I think.

I have an extension cord running over from the trailer guy's shop. (they run off a separate power panel out back) ...so I could have a radio, plug the diesel in, etc.

Well I have a grandson coming north with the daughter and son in law this am, so I know what I am doing today, what ever the grandson wants to do.

I doubt it will be up in the shop working on my Ford truck....

Morning folks.

Dustin. If you're worried about fuel mileage, the LAST engine you want to put in your truck is a 6.4L. I've driven many and they ALL get around 16 mpg empty and 12-13 loaded. With that kinda mileage, I'll just keep putting gas in Alice. It's not worth the headache.
