Ford pulling a Chevy.......some things never change.

My dad moved a small house about a half a mile that same way, drug it right down the county road on skids.

I have been on some road trips through Northern Michigan and other areas where they haul the logs sideways, but out here where I grew up my dad would say they were hauled 'fore and aft'. He spent more time at sea than in the woods.....

I have three reactions to the pictures of the logs and the steam traction engine on the Ford trucks:

1 - D@mn they used those trucks. No wonder they are almost all totally beat today.
2 - Wow, the wood floor of those beds holds more weight than I expected.
3 - This is an amazing thread. Thanks.

I Love that wrecker. It utilizes a car frame for it's boom. Gonna build a homemade 'junkyard dog' wrecker before I'm done on this earth.....
