Funny thing is, no matter how fancy our RVs are, we all get stuck with the same 3-burner stove

Nice rigs everyone! Our day is coming. When we retire in a few years we'll be buying a nice 5er, which is why I stepped up to the diesel this year. For now she barely breaks a sweat pulling our 27' jayco TT which weighs a little over 7K lbs all loaded for a trip. The interior shots are from when we first got it. It has a bit more "Character" now.

Do any of you with TTs (not fivers) lower your stabilizers when in storage or not in use? We are predicted to get some semi high winds in South Texas tomorrow and I'm wondering if I should go out and lower mine just to help. OR could that damage them? (Since i know that TT stabilizers arnt meant to have heavy pressure on them).

Justin, it won't really matter as they just take the bounce out of what you feel. In a storm, with no one in it. will not make any difference. Just let move the way it wants to.

When our rig is home on the pad, I always use the level up system which puts the six hydraulic legs down. It will help with spring and frame fatigue over time. In the winter I'll put down my rear most electric stabilizers too. I don't bother in season as they take TOO long to go up and down... I know that my main legs are a different system than yours but on my last hauler that didn't have level up, I lowered my rear electric stab jacks for the off season. Never any ill effects.

Spray the stabilizers with fluid film is all I would recommend.

I would jump in mine and get the heck out of there... after all you bought it to travel, what better time then now? You can put your stabs down when you get out of the way of Patrica.

Stay safe!

I have always kept mine down when storing over the winter. Not sure what the right answer is for real heavy winds, that's just what I do. Good luck riding the storm out.

Make and model. Did it fit or did you need to adjust the cabinets?

I had to make the hole in the countertop deeper. Back more. about 2" IIRC.
Then the hole in the face of the cabinet had to be extended all the way to the floor.
