I just got stationed here on Camp Lejeune, does anyone know any good off-road trails or some decent mud to play in? I've been looking but haven't found much yet.

 

Across NC there are a lot of state maintained parks that you can play with 4wd. The two big ones I can think of are Uwharrie, and Tellico. But those will be a drive for you. A lot of NC beaches allow 4wd access, with a permit. Those would be closer, but won't have the mud you are looking for.

I usually hit Uwharrie, as those trails can get as tough as anyone could want, for a relaxing weekend of wheeling.

 

No real trails or mud that is legal to play in around here. Best thing to look at for mud will be one of the local mud bogs. The closest one is in Hubert it is called Jump and run creek mud bog.
