how bad was the flooding and beach erosion down there Charlie?
we lost quite a bit of coastal dunes with the high water surge.
luckily the flooding was kept to a minimum. so far there is only one report of a structure loss, and that was a house that was seriously damaged in sandy and has been uninhabited since then.

Pretty bad. Not like Sandy, I think the surge hit ya'll more so, as usual.
Remember back in the early 80's when we backed the dump trucks right out on the Atlantic City beach and dumped sand for the D9's to push it into the ocean?
Twas a FUN summer for a young man THAT summer...LOL

after sandy i was in sandy hook doing the cleanup, there were places with 14 foot of sand in the parking lots. we screened it all and dumped it back out ont he beach. in places we added 250 foot to the beach.

LOL. Funny how times change.
Back then, we didn't screen nuttin'.
If it went in the bucket, it went in the truck.
Then it went on the beach. They pushed it down, and if it was a "lump", it got back tracked until it went away........
Crime tape back then?????? yeah, right.
