Searching for New Exhaust Valves

94 F350 7.3 IDI with Turbo International Motor (K Family)

Hello,
It's been a while since any issues with my F350 IDI. So here are my questions. Hope you guys can help me out..

1) Who makes a good quality Exhaust Valve? I can't get them from ford dealer because the don't carry them anymore.

2) The intake valves are still good so my head rebuilder guy is telling me. Which brings this question. Is it possible to replace exhaust valves and not the intake valves?

3) Would I be throwing money away if I told the guy to replace all intake and exhaust valves in the rebuild of the heads?

I don't want to have to tear my engine apart for the heads again..

I got new Teledyne Injectors going in, Freshly rebuilt radiator, calibrated fuel injector pump, Engine compression is good. Anything else I might be missing??
any advice is good.

Thanks in advance.....

Yes, you can just replace the exhaust valves. If the intake valves, guides, seats/seals are good, I would not replace them. The valves are only one component and there are several places the valve can wear- seat, head, stem, spring retainer groove, and tip. Also, a major part of the valve's operation is dependent on the valve guide, the head's valve seal/seat, keeper, spring and spring retainer. If all of these items are not worn, past allowable tolerances, you are good to go.

Keep in mind that many decisions are subjective to the opinion of the individual making that decision, whether it is the mechanic or the customer. If I could not perform the work myself, I might lean toward a remanufactured head and be done with it.

I can get you new intake and exhaust for a great price. Or just exhaust if you like. Only doing exh is fine if intakes are good.

Sorry man,
I meant Standadyne. Was exhausted last night...

Well the head rebuilder has been in business for a long time and workmanship is great according to a few diesel mechanics. Where can I go to see these Inconels exhaust valves??

Were you running?

I tried my hand at jogging when I was young. A wise man told me, at that time, "Man who runs in front of automobile, gets tired; man who runs behind automobile, gets exhausted" lol.

Im running Valves from Russ, and they have been in two engines and taken lots of abuse. They are great valves.
