What size is the engine, A/T or M/T, 2WD or 4WD, with or without A/C?

It's called a fan shroud, see lower pic.

With or without A/C?
There is no fan shroud application for a 1978 F150 w/a 351W, because the 351W was not available in F150/350 until 1981.

Do you know what the original engine size was? If not, post the first 4 digits of the VIN

Hey Tripper2, you got two of the smarter guys in here talking to you. Good thing I showef up, I can help dumb this down a bit.

do you know your VIN number? These guys can help figure out what your truck SHOULD have in it. They are assuming that you have the original engine in it.

You can find the Vin on your registration, or on a little tag on your drivers door or on the door jam.

Welcome to FTE!!

1st 3 digits of the VIN is the series code, 4th digit is the engine code.

When the OP posts these 4 digits, it will prove if it's an F150 2WD or 4WD and what the original engine size was.

I am gonna go out on a limb and bet it is still a 351m since it still has A.C. Forget the vin. Count the valve cover bolts. 6 means it is a windsor class engine. 8 makes it a 351c 351m or 400. Unless it is something exotic like a boss 302 which would use the canted valve cleveland heads. Doubtful

F15 = F150 2WD Regular Cab Pickup.

H = 351M (it's not a 351W, unless it's been swapped in). The 351M has 8 valve cover bolts per side. Please verify the number of valve cover bolts.

N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant.

Yeah, that's obvious...

Alphanumerics are a combination of numbers and letters. Referring to the first four characters of the VIN as "digits" is a colloquialism.

And a "colloquialism" for those that do not have Google handy, is a word or phrase that is not formal or literary, typically one used in ordinary or familiar conversation.

Like 77.5 lol Sorry I just had to.
