Does anyone have experience with Android Radios?

Very cool. Thanks for the vid. I noticed the screen is quite reflective, that ever an
issue?
Also, do they come out with frequent updates? And do you expect them to upgrade to newer android versions in the near future ? How about availability of other ROM's, since you had it rooted ? Is the bootloader unlocked?
Thanks again.

They do come out with frequent updates. They can be found here.
I don't know if they will ever make the jump to lollipop as it requires significant hardware changes. I see no need to go to lollipop right now as all the applications you would ever use are compatible with 4.4.4.
It is rooted from what I understand and does have an unlocked bootloader.

My unit is holding up great. No problems at all. It's been nearly a year now.

Thanks Thor.
I spent all afternoon yesterday trying to figure out which wire to tap into. My Chilton's manual doesn't have a schematic for the steering wheel controls, and I had absolutely no luck finding one on Google.
I did manage to do a trial hookup on it, and the Joying unit seems like a very good quality piece. Sound quality and radio reception is on par with the factory unit. After I get a longer patch cable for the backup camera and trim the dash, I'll finalize the install.
