Actuator rod

Hi all. Wondering if anyone knew where I can get an Actuator rod for my turbo??? Took turbo back off cause truck didn't seem to run right. Upon inspection actuator rod wore a nice grove in unison ring plus rod end has been worn down too. Bought new ring. Cleaned turbo and is running much better. But, boost don't seem complete or full. So, probably not moving the vanes in their full range of motion.

Full throttle I'm seeing about 30 on scan gauge and at idle 66. I know we can't seem to buy those separate from my checking.

Really don't have the cash for a new turbo right now.

Any advice or ideas appreciated.

Ed.

Have not had to buy one yet my self so I'm not sure if you should get a ford one or if other brands are ok.
Someone will chime in and let us know.
But you can buy just the VGT solenoid.

Here is a link to one just for reference. I'm not saying this is a quality one, just that is what you need

2006 f350 6.0 VGT solenoid - Google Search

Xavier, do you have access to a welder? If so, you could just build up the worn area on the rod and file it to the correct dimensions.

Yes. Might have to give that a try. There is no part # for the actuator rod. Going to check around some dealers and see what they got lying around.
