Help on a F650?

Hello,
Im new to the group. Im hoping I can get some info on a F650 im looking at. I am looking at getting a 1972 330cu gas f650. From what I understand it was originally a f600 and converted it to a f650. Im waiting to get all the info on it yet but anyone know what to watch for on them? Like I said Im not sure if I will get much help with how old it is but any info would help!
Thanks in advance!

No such thing as an f 600 converted to an f650. The 650 is a later heavier more modern truck. What are you going to do with this truck? You need the vin and data/warranty plate info to see what it was as oem. With a 330 you're looking at topping out at about 60 mph maybe a tic higher. Empty. Slow with a load
. Again there is no such thing as a conversion like that.

My plan is if I can get it for a good price. I was planning on engine swapping it to a diesel. Either a cat, international, or a cummins. Then doing a front axle swap for possibly 4x4. I would like to put a 5th wheel in the back. I wanna use it for a side job just to pull boats in and out of the water and deliver them to the destination.

Theres the link for the one im looking at. One of the guys on a different thread said that the box mounts are horrific and the leaf springs will be horrible.

I can't see the link as I am on my phone. I would suggest looking for a diesel 4x4 to start with. They are sold by utility companies. Do a Google search or search truck paper. Time is money and you may not live long enough to get a project like that serviceable and reliable.

The main thing that draws me to this one is there only asking $9900. So if its cheap enough it might be worth it. But I have been looking around for others but there way up in the 50k range lol. Im looking for kind of a beginner one haha

Pretty sure that any f600 should be more in the $3500 range. You got a shop welder 1inch impact wrench 12 ton jacks and a foundry and machine shop?

Yes for everything except the foundry and machine shop (working on that one currently) ive seen them around that price but none have good bodies and drives like this one. From what the pictures show atleast. Its 2 hours north of me. Im just trying to get some insight on them before continuing my progress with it

Ed, this is a cobbled up Frankenstein Monster. It's an F600 with spoke wheels, 1967/72 F100/350 pickup bed with DRW rear fenders bolted to the bedsides from gawd only knows what.

OP has another thread in 1967/72 forum with pics.
