missing in motor

driving home from work 1qtr choke on I heard a miss then another one then it just got worce until it just quit it will fire but not the way it should it is getting plenty of gas maybe elec.? 51 f1 8ba stock would app. any replys thanks pwb

Pull a plug lead and check for a spark when cranking .
Are you sure you didn't flood the engine driving with the choke on ?
