LATE 99 van turbo
#2
If we're talking about a run-of-the-mill good used, but not incredibly low mileage unit, I wouldn't pay more then $150 for it. If you just have to have one right now, expect to pay $200-$250, as that is where alot of them are priced at. But if you can "afford" the time to shop around, you can pick one up for about $150. Obviously, if it already has a wicked wheel 2, or an OBVIOUS fresh rebuild, etc... then expect to pay more.
Again, if it has OBVIOUSLY just been rebuilt or clearly, indisputably, unquestionably has super low miles, then I would use it as-is, and maybe pay a little more. Otherwise, no matter how much the seller wants to cry from the mountain tops otherwise, I would assume it needs, and would do a full rebuild; and would price/value it accordingly. Unless it screams super duper uber great shape, assume they are all just good re-buildable cores. The effort to remove it again, as well as the possible consequences of a failure are too high to to do otherwise.
