I have a 2015 F250 6.2L gasser. I want a 4.5" lift and I was looking at Rough Country and their 4.5" lift says diesel only. Anyone with a 11-up gasser F250 ever run this kit or is it really for diesel only? Thanks

 

That kits springs have a higher spring rate for the weight of the diesel truck. Look into the 4 inch zone off-road kit on their site it's just over 1k. If you like it call sbc off-road out of Georgia they can normally save you quite a bit of cash with free shipping to your door. Zone is a sister company to BDS so it quality stuff. I've used them several times and have been very happy with their products and support.

 

I think that with most 2.5"-6" lift kit for 2011 + gas F250 , there is interference between exhaust component and front drive shaft. I read that it can be resolved by changing original front drive shaft by another one with smaller diameter.

It has something to do with the gas exhaust system.

 

No it is the rating of the coil springs in the kit they are specific to either a gas or diesel truck. No matter the lift once you get to a 4 inch lift or greater the front drive shaft will rub the cat on a gas engine truck. You can loosen the bolts by the manifold and try to shift over the cat or have a piece welded in to move the cat slightly.
