Any suggestions on finding 15" steelie wheels for '66?

Hey Folks,

Anyone in the Central FL area have a lead on where I can find some steelie 15" 5x5.5 wheels?? I need them for my '66 F100.

Any used tire shops, swap meets, or anyone have any in their own inventory they are looking to unload?

I just picked up a set of Coker Classic white walls.
When I bought the truck, the previous owner was using one of the stock wheels as a spare. Unfortunately that's the only steelie he had.
I've since painted that steelie wheel and mounted one of my Cokers on it, but thats the only one I've got done. So, I only need 3ea wheels, but I'd be willing to buy a set of 4 as I imagine 3 will be hard to find.

I'm used to searching the internet, craigslist, etc...but this find is going to require some help from local Ford enthusiasts, so anyone with advice on where to point me in the right direction is greatly appreciated!
And here is a pic of the wheel so you can see what I'm looking for.

Thanks,

David

David, I suggest you check junkyards and used tire shops. Look in the Bithlo, Apopka, Orla Vista aeas and along the OBT. There is a huge swap meet in Webster monthly; that may be a good source. I don't remember which weekend that meet is.

Guess I should have read this before posting in the other thread.

are you still looking? are these just stock steel wheels? I have the 4 factory steel wheels from my 78. I'm in spring hill, you could have all 4 for $50

Hey emerald, I would be interested. Do you have a picture? As long as they are the 5x5.5" bolt pattern those should be great. Let me know best way to get in contact. This website has private messaging, correct? I can send you my email or cell number. Thanks

Hey Emerald - thats them! Great! I'll take them - sent you a PM back.
Give me a shout this week - I'd like to pick them up Saturday AM if possible. I finally have a free weekend and could lay paint Saturday and mount to tires on Sunday.

Thanks again

Thanks Emerald

Thanks to Emerald for selling me his set of steelies. Great person to deal with and great price

After getting the wheels, I sprayed white (to help cover black) then a red base and violet metallic metalizer top coats (all Plasti-Dip products)
Went up to Tire Kingdom for mounting and balancing, and popped the wheels on - here's the updated look.

Also used Black Magic Blanche-White - really cleaned up the Coker Whitewalls and even got alot of grit off the patina - can't be happier with her right now - next up will be suspension, brakes, and reskin on the dash - always something!

orange wheels coming off

new wheels on and blanche used on the tires and patina

wheels on, but Black Magic Blanche White wasnt used before this photo...
