I heard of some having success getting it broke loose with a combination ( the correct size) wrench...then it once broke loose...it pretty much comes out with your fingers

Plenty of PB too the night before. Took me 3 days for the drivers side. I ended up using a wrench and a hammer. Once it broke loose it came out pretty easy. Make sure there is plenty of anti seize on the new one.

I have 2 different O2sensor sockets as well...size on both are marked 7/8" pretty sure a 23 mm will work...I remember using a combination wrench to break it loose...then the socket to get things finger capable.

One O2 socket is shorter and multiple attachment places for 3/8" drive>>

the other one is more traditional in nature, taller>>

How do you get to it? Under the truck or in the wheel well?

I did mine under the truck. You may get a bit more access through the wheel well, but IIRC the frame was in the way. Good luck.

I give, is there some one in the area that can do this for me. Maybe for a six pack of beer?

Do an advanced search on this forum and look up O2 sensor blues. Maybe some heat will help it break lose. Just don't burn yourself. You can do it. Sometimes these crusty rusty parts don't want to give up. You should try working on my 48 sometime. If you weren't 1000 miles away I'd come down and help you out. But... Hose it good with your favorite snake oil twice a day. Maybe a hammer and a combination wrench(one you don't mind pounding on). Patience and confidence my friend are your best weapon. You can do it!

Very simple if you get some stuff out of the way.
Remove tire.
Remove plastic wheel well.
Remove transmission dipstick tube.
Ta-da!
Just did this job three weeks ago. If you don't take an extra 30 minutes and remove these items, you won't get to it. Be careful and don't let the wire harness twist up when installing the new one.
Oh I didn't use and special wrenches or sockets. Just a combo wrench, 23mm if memory serves.

I have not looked at it but how hard is it to remove the dip stick tube?
